How can I get the oil pan on a 1996 Ford Ranger 2X4? Do I have to carry out the transmission?
Already Toof out all nuts and bolts. The oil pan is free, there is no place for the rescue.
must remove the engine mounting bolts and transmission mounting bolts and a plug for the engine as high as you can get without crushing firewall. Then, you must remove the oil filter before removing the oil pan. I had to remove the fan motor and pulley Jack up front of the engine. This is not a fun project, but the only way to know without taking full frontal.
