I placed in a new rear disk brake kit for my honda motorcycle. Do they normally don’t grip at first?
I have a Honda Wave 100 and I recently installed a new rear disc brake kit. New discs. New Nissin Calipers, New Nissin Master Cylinders. Do they normally don’t grip at first?
You should get a noticeable braking effect. Before new pads have bedded in the braking effect may be less than normal but it will still be noticeable. If you can put the bike on a stand so that its rear wheel is off the ground, turn the wheel by hand and apply the brake. Your should feel very definite resistance when you apply the brake. If not then you need to recheck the installation that you have done.
