Guage Autometer
Air Fuel Gauge need help for connecting e36?
Okay i got an A/F ratio guage from Autometer and have an e36 98 ti heated o2 sensor. i tapped into pin number 2 or the yellow wire on the non sensor side for the feed back result and all i get is a freak’n high voltage meaning my gauge don’t see the small voltage of .6v fluctuating. when i push the gas i still don’t get shiet and it stays at .6v. I checked it using an multimeter from the signal wire to ground. do i have the right wire tapped or is their something jacked up on my guage or am i missing something?
Autometer has really good tech support that can help you interpret your wiring, as not all manufacturers adhere to the same wire coloring scheme. For future reference, an exhaust gas temp (EGT) gauge, while much pricer than an A/F gauge, is a much more accurate way of monitoring how lean /rich your engine is running.
