Has there ever been a modern fighter plane dog fighting?

In the Vietnam War, F-4 Phantom was being decimated by MIG in fights dogs after having spent all of their missiles. That's why even the new F-22 that can not even see a dog fight is still armed with a gun. Schools in Top Gun (yes, it is also what the movie is about), is designed just for that, so in the unlikely event that a U.S. plane Modern is in a dogfight, which will be prepared.
